ok i just wanted to know if anyone here has ever experienced this. (i tried googling and web mding, but to no luck i couldnt find A THING on it)

So today i woke up somewhat quickly, i remember basically going from dreaming to snap awake, and the weirdest shit happened.

I looked at the T.V. (rounders was playing for some odd reason) and everything was going in fast motion! No the movie wasnt on fast motion, because when i looked over at my roomie, HE was going in fast motion!

This all ended about five mins after i had been awake and felt completely fine during the entire experience. (no dilated pupils, no fast heartrate, confusion, numbness, ect. ect.)

Im wondering what this means? I have had a history of dabbling in illegal substances, but ive never had any flashbacks like that before.

Think its serious? should i go see the doctor?

I quite frequently experience "false awakenings" and "lucid dreams". Your experience sounds more like the former, but a bit different. Also, in car accidents & on the ski hill I have also had moments where everthing seams to slow right down, giving me all the time I need to react. There is a term for this, but I cant recall it right now. Our brains can sometimes interpret things at different speeds. Unless this is a regular occurance, I wouldnt worry about it too much; and I also don't think a general practitioner would be much help, but perhaps they could refer you.

I used to dablle myself and got all kinds of wierd stuff like this, sleep paralysis etc.
Dont take drugs anymore and never get any of it.

i thought it may have been a flase awakening myself, but i didnt return to sleep, ive been up since the incident. (maybe im still asleep )

this has been the first time anything like this has happened, and im sure if i cant find anything on google im sure a doc cant help me with it.

the only thing i can do is monitor the situation, and if it occurs again, i will seek medical advice.
