Evil is necessary for Good to exist.
In order for something to be considered "good" there needs to be the opposite "bad" or "evil" so evil is necessary for good to exist and good is necessary for evil to exist.
also
in order for happiness to exist, there needs to be depression/sadness/unhappiness
for light, darkness
for rich, poor
etc
imo

Everything is just particles being manipulated by the different forces anyway. "Good" and "evil" are the same, they're just terms humans made up to feel like we actually control something, just like religion etc etc 
Uh, I mean... killing is evil and bunnies and rainbows are good.
