In my experience, most people with an IQ over 150 find it difficult to "fit in"

In my experience people who chose not to fit in, don't. Has nothing to do with intelligence but it is definitely an easy scape goat.

first off, id like to say Chase, that i respect your decision to hang this game up for a while. If you're in it to make money and quick money at that, you will crash and burn VERY hard. you need to understand that a majority of pros have a passion for the game and a will to get better all the time. The money will follow, but you have to love this game. Playing poker as a means of sole income requires as much dedication as becoming an engineer, or being in the stock market. Some even think poker is HARDER than a lot of professions you can choose in life.
Do i think you cant do it? No, i dont think at your age you can make this happen. You may not think it, but there is a lot of growing up between 15 and 21, and emotion control is something many teenagers have difficulty managing. Its normal though. I wish you and your family the best of luck in your endevors.
And as for ping, seriously, can someone ban this clown already? Your high intellect and maturity MUST make it hard to fit in, in such a place as PFO. Get the fuck over yourself already. Really, noone admires an arrogant prick such as yourself. The kids 15 for christ sake. I pity you when you will someday show your own childeren this sort of cold behavior.

Maybe you should trade some of those IQ points for a heart.

I agree... PFO should ban anyone that introduces controversy or is generaly unappreciated.
As for the 15 year olds with gambling problems looking for help here... I agree that you are in a sad situation indeed. If you expect to find help and/or consolation in an anonymous discussion forum, you are more than likely destined for disappointment. I recommend a councillor if you can find no assistance through your parents/extended family.

Obviously we are not banning anyone on these grounds.
I do, however, hope that you dont do this stuff intentionally just to stir up trouble Ping.

I know we've had our "differences" kid but it does take guts to come out and admit there's a problem. Next stage is to actually go through with what you've said you'll do, if you can do that then you'll be fine.
*still upset that yegch said she doesn't like me*

I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.
