This is an argumentative fallacy, specifically Ad Hominem Abusive. Attacking me doesn't change the logic of my statement

Saying "if you don't like it, then dont read it or dont respond" is just silly, and easily reversed. If you dont like someones response, then ignore it.

Sometimes the general lack of compassion for people that I witness astounds me. Congrats I guess to those who apparently dont remember what its like to be 16 and scared of the future.

Kid, I think its admirable and incredibly mature of you to even realize that you may have a problem. You definitely seem like a guy who is intent on improving yourself. If you really think you have a problem with gambling you should take a far step back and reevaluate some things. If you think your problem is mainly tilt and BR management issues then welcome to the club. We all experience those downswings (emotional and financial) in poker. It is part of the game. If you honestly think you cant take it then you should work on finding new hobbies that you can embrace as you did poker.

I for one think you definitely have the capability to be a good, winning player. You just need DISCIPLINE. I have watched you play and your fundamental understanding of the game and its strategy seems solid. If you decide to continue playing after your break I think you should write out your goals as far as poker is concerned. Write down what you ultimately want from this game, and a step by step process of how to get there. I did this and it helped me tremendously as far as keeping focused and maintaining the necessary frame of mind to deal with the ups and downs of poker. How else could I be such a nit with my BR??

The group I interacted with when I was 16 included all ages... from about 14 to 40. What I appreciated most, even more so after the fact, is that I wasn't treated as a child. I was given "tough love" (no not that kind )... showing weakness was never encouraged, especially publically. Perhaps if there was a childrens forum I would let them whine about there petty (that's right petty... just wait until you have a real problem) problems without interferance.

I disagree with the way you were raised.

Raised...? Thats post had nothing to do with family; I'm talking about learning to live in a World outside of your safe & loving home.

Fine, then I question the way you learned since it turned you into a sociopath.

=) You are so cute.
EDIT: Okay so I hit enter to quick, I hate one liners and I definitely wouldn't want to be a hypocrit now would I.

You supressing your emotions isn't a good thing. This idea behind masculinity is probably one of the largest problems in today's society.
