Don't know why Jack would be so eager to get back, unless his real life just blows so much that he has to get back there, or possible there are poeple that they left behind.

In "The Answers", Damon and Carlton mentioned that they were going to start including aspect of the future characters as well, so it is possible that flash-forwards are going to become more regular when season IV starts up in *sob* February.
