See, here's the thing: I like fat jokes. I am over 300 lbs myself, but I do like them, even though I know them not to be true. IE fat people eat a lot. This is a common joke. I actually eat very little, but I still find jokes like that funny. Same with drunked Irish jokes, mostly because my mom is half-Irish and she can really hold her liquor, and does when she has the chance. I was a teenager not too long ago, and there are a TON of "white teenagers want to be gangsta" jokes out there. I laugh all the friggin time at those, and I did back then, too.

Edit: I'd also like to say that there is, in fact, white racism out there. People just tend to ignore it, because it rarely results in violence/descrimination.

Also, I'd like to say that guys being idiots/assholes are some of the funniest jokes in the world, and, for the most part, they are very true.

I dont think the jokes make people racist, I think they make people racially aware.

Black movies are black movies for a reason, they are playing to a black audience and whites laugh at the exagerated stereo types just like the blacks do, but for slightly different reasons.

Real racism means you think a race is inferior or less human strictly because of their race.


Even Michael Richards comments weren't really racist to me, they were making an absurd joke out of historical events. I don't think he was trying to get the audience to hate the blacks that were heckling him, he was making an absurd joke over how they may have been treated in the past for such things - but not trying to insight other to do that to them now.

We definitely need an offensive joke thread.

A.) This thread isn't a penis contest of who can tell the best racist joke.

B.) Richards isn't a racist and his apology was sincere, though the Letterman crowd that night madea mockery of it. That Letterman crowd shows how sociopathtic we've become. Richards wasn't telling jokes when he said what he said. He was making threats, though they'd never be fulfilled, he made them.

But the laughter in the Letterman crowd that night while he apologized was hurtful. Richards' outburst was nothing more than a "Holy shit!"

I'm bi-racial... Some people tend to get confused by this. I absolutely hate when people are like..."What ARE you?" as if I am a freak... or... once they find out that I'm half black they're like...
