I'm getting worryingly near this point and I'm only 22. I want to go to a pub where I can sit and have a conversation and not have to fight to get to the bar. The thought of prancing around in a nightclub pretending I can dance while drinking cheap vodka doesn't appeal to me anymore.

Once the smoking ban finally hits England then bring it on!

Hangover has now gone, I like beer again.

Wow, I had to make sure I weren't the one who wrote that message. I'm about the same age as you.

Alcohol = bad, generally. I suppose if it helps you loosen up, then that's fine, but it's easy to go overboard. You have to find the optimal blood alcohol level. Or %, or whatever.

As for me? I don't want to sacrifice the brain cells and the knowledge I have within them for alcohol.

I'm getting old now, it'll happen to you don't worry.

I don't like spirits anyway (apart from whisky) so I can't get into the whole binge drinking thing, beer just doesn't get me drunk enough!

As for the smoking, there's nothing worse than going out and coming home stinking of smoke, even if you go out for like an hour you still have to wash your clothes or you'll smell like an ashtray. It's soooooooooo good in Scotland without the smoking.
