You never know what people can see or do... That's all I am saying. I sure as heck know that I won't be checking my bank statements any time soon today.

You really shouldn't be doing that, you're right. But why would it be bad to play poker on an unsecure network.

The transfer of your password to the game site is an encrypted transaction. Someone in between can not see it, unless they have some way to unencrypt it. I would trust most popular sites do this, but would stay away from the un-trustworthy sits like G2G. Who know what they are using... Same with transfering your account info to the bank.

When on a website, make sure you see the URL start with https... that extra S on the end tells you it is a secure connection using SSL.

I also highly suggest using some wireless encryption, like WEP... easy to set up and stops people from using your Internet connection.

Well.. my internet connection is totally shot right now... So I hopped on a neighbor's line.. I hope they don't mind!

Can I use a WEP even though this isn't my connection?
