Because it filled up that thread made by joey.

If a poker site put $400 into my account, let me cash it out and then later tried to claim it back when I no longer played there there is no chance I'd return it.
Alex posted in the same thread that he kept an extra $2500 which UB sent him, why don't we start threads saying Alex is thieving scum? Because he's too cool?
Eh, because alex didn't tell me to get raped in the ass.

I never saw that post, but if it is there, then yes, he is a thieving scum (and worse than Epic too, as it was more money). This whole thing is just like downloading music illegally, just because they don't see the direct consequences people don't think that they are stealing. Just because it is virtual money doesn't mean it has no equivalent in cash. And the fact that for them $400 is a drop in the ocean should make no difference either.

I've found all this quite funny really. It's always amusing when a noobie tries to flame half of PFO, it's like wolves picking off the weak member, lol. I think, epic, it's your reaction that gets everyone going rather than the actual money thing.

But, for the record, if I was given money as a mistake by a poker site and allowed to cash it out, I'd probably tell them to kiss my ass when they wanted it back.

I have one question: Who gives a shit????

Really, who cares if Stars fucked up and someone beniffited $400??? It's not like she scammed another player, or that stars is going to go bankrupt or something. It hurts noone, she gets 400 beans and as a pennance cannot play Stars anymore I'm guessing.

Why does everyone care what is morally correct here. Since the sites are somewhat illegal this is like someone buying 10 kilos of coke and accidentally getting 11, should they go back and say, "hey you F'ed up"? And considering Stars volume, it's more like buying 10 tons of Coke and getting a kilo free.

Instead of bitching out epic, how about putting the blame on Stars accounting department, where it belongs.

My bank recently gave me $220 instead of $200, I went back in and gave the $20 back. Reason: it's my bank, and I want to keep doing business there. Epic is choosing to cease using Stars and take the money and run.
