Hey all,

I'm fairly new to paintball, just participated in a scenerio event this past Sunday (trip report w/pics http://www.rakereport.net/forum/index.php?topic=893.0

Now looking to purchase my own gun for the field. Considering a modified Tippmann A5 cause it looks cool:




But this particular gun has a 16-inch barrel. I've heard the "sweet spot" is somewhere between 8-14 inches but I really don't know. I intend to play woodsball not speedball. And mostly play either a mid or back field type, or also flanker/sniper roles.
