Too bad I'm the really hot girl.. thanks! LOL.. totally kidding. But yeah, I watched the movie with my husband. I could comprise a whole list of what went wrong in that movie. It had so much potential, but it seemed rushed in the making, and eh.. overrated.
Anyway.. has anyone seen Spiderman 3 yet?

No need to knock other comic franchises. For realz. They're all different.
(And if we're starting a comparison, Batman > ALL. And Iron Man will do the same in '08)
And anyway, Spidey 3 was a freakin' letdown. 6/10 at best. If people need, I can list at least 10 things wrong with the movie quickly, but I'll mention just a few main ones.
Eddie Brock & Gwen Stacey - in the comics, their arcs (storylines) are decades apart.
Venom - symbiote comes from outerspace in the comics, from when Spidey is up there.
Sandman - ok, um, sand can't fly.
And I thought this movie was about Spider-Man, not Mary Jane.

300 was not made to reinvent the battle/gladiator genre. Yes, they used the same warrior cliches that all movies did. But you're looking at the narrow scope. Along with Sin City, these two movies are shaping the future of film production. Stylized, dialogue driven, slick movies. Most people remember two things from movies: memorable one-liners and dialogue, and a sequence that made them go "Wow!"
Both 300 and Sin City are composed of these from the first minute, to the last. 300 was filmed like no other, and while it seemed like all other warrior movies, it was filmed and developed like no other. It made it seem fresh.
It still isn't quite Gladiator, but it's 2nd to none others.

Seany... What are you talking about? You have no idea what my views are on the movie. In my opinion, it is incredibly overrated. So please don't say that I am closed minded in perspective of this film. If you wish to talk about this... we can. You know how to get a hold of me.

Not a personal attack chill out. But the movie did what it was supposed to do:
1) Made shit tons of money
2) Opened up movies like this to more than just fanboys
So your opinion, and mine, don't really matter much.
