Default Excessive Sig Advertising

Perhaps I’m annoyed too easy, but some LARGE signature advertising bothers me. For example, RakeReport.Net currently uses the same banner ad in his sig as he does on his website advertising his forum ($500 just for posting there). Now honestly his posts are relevant to the topic, but to me it’s obv that he only posts here in order to advertise.

I don’t want to pick just on him, but I can’t think of anyone else who has flashy banner ads in their sig. What do the rest of you think? Should I just ignore it? I wouldn’t mind a big static ad so much, but hate the flashing it in my face

Sidenote: Deeyaka, your avatar can flash us any time!

Agreed, sigs should be limited to text links imho.

Additionally, I wouldn't mind if avatars were restricted to static images. Anything flashing/moving is kind of annoying while reading.

I haven't checked but is there no option for removing sigs so you can't see them? This would be a good idea

But I'll miss out on some of the fun if I turn off ALL sigs... no way I'd let a couple bad apples impact my experience here so significantly. I'd rather politely ask the responsible ones if they would mind toning it down a bit.

As for moving pics, I always liked this one.

Hmm, it is hard to read when pics like that are moving.

Maybe dee's avatar should only jiggle when you open up an "online poker is rigged" thread...
