I agree with Gronzy. When the world can find a way to stop revolutionaries in Africa and in the Middle East from putting guns in the hands of children, and have them kill each other, then I'll give up my right to protect myself.

i don't believe the US second admendment is such a crazy gun law.
But how many people only have a gun out of fear? How many people have a gun because "everyone else does"? It is really worrying that anyone can walk in off the street and pick up a gun, and with so many crazy folk out there, there is always gonna be trouble. Just walking down the road knowing that a decent proportion of the people you pass are either carrying or have easy access to a gun seems so so wrong to me.

With the record of shootings in the US, are you honestly saying that the gun laws aren't playing a big part in this? That's what makes it seem crazy in my opinion.

In my mind there is no doubt that possessing a fire-arm should be illegal. I dread to think what would happen if it was legalised in the UK. It's bad enough that so many are carrying knives to "protect" themselves, if this was legalised our crime rate would be (more) awful.

Its not the guns its the people. You take the guns out of everyones hands then only the bad guys will have them. Its a proven fact. Everyone has the right to protect themselves and it would be a huge breach by the government to try to remove that right from the people.

Here is an interesting thought, if everyone in that school were carrying a gun would that attack even have happened, and if it did would the death toll be as high?

The idea of a world without guns and violence is a nice one but its not realistic at this point. It is IMPOSSIBLE to remove guns. Making them illegal is only going to make things worse in my opinion. Besides if there were no guns then there would be swords and knives and all kinds of other lethal shit. Guns are just the tools that people use today. Crazy people can use anything for a weapon.

Obviously this is not a gun control issue. All these issues all revolve around their personal/social backgrounds.

david is just a tree hugger. even if you banned guns it would be impossible to find them all. In fact thats probably one of the best reason why they don't or can't. You think there has never been murder before in the past with swords or knives? Murder has been apart of civilization forever, Because there are so many people in the world now and we have mass communication, people think that the world is going to hell. (in a way it is) but its not from murder. When one person dies nowadays millions can hear about it. Back in the day if someone died only limited people knew about it, so you can't say its getting any worse because its always been the same.

I was actually much worse in the past only people back then were used to it. Death was a more common part of life. A cut get infected? GOODBYE! Not to mention the sheer amount of violence in the past. War was much more brutal as well.

Yes, lets ban guns in America, then when someone starts making their own shitty ass guns sell them on the street, then the innocent people will have no way to protect themselves.
