Why wouldn't people just go to the nearest walgreens?

because i can possibly get you the card for cheaper than if you buy it at walgreens, and you have the convenience of buying from home via computer rather than driving to the store

I completely understand why you would be skeptical, so please let me explain: I am part of a rewards program that allows me to get a discount on any purchase I make at participating grocery stores, including gift card purchases. So, I can get the cards for cheaper than most people would pay for them outside.

I figure it was a win-win situation and threw the offer out to see if there are any takers.

Would you consider transferring me the value of the cards to my stars account in exchange for me saying thank you?

The only way you are going to get any takers is if it is to a respected member and you supply the card numbers first before payment.

What grocery store is giving you deals where it would save enough money to eliminate the 6% charge and make it a good deal?

If they are this good of a deal why are you not buying tons and tons of them for yourself and using them as cash, so for every $100 you would usually spend your spending 100-x(savings)

With all due respect, it doesn't seem wise to give the card info away before I get paid.

And I don't use my grocery rebate to get my cards because I shop for discounted gift cards from eBay for all the stores I shop at: Walmart, Circuit City, OfficeDepot, Lowes, you name it!

So how do you propose making these deals?

Tell me how you are going to guarantee the security of any purchase and I will listen.

this is an interesting question, although i don't think any online seller can give a satisfactory answer. i'm not sure how anyone could guarantee the security of a purchase. even on ebay, sellers get their money first before the buyer is given their product.

of course, you could pay via Paypal or GoogleCheckout and if the seller turns out to be misrepresenting the item, you can always dispute the charge. since i accept both of those payment methods, you would have that equal protection.
