I only had a couple minutes to respond to this issue last night. Thinking about it further I would permaban manguy.

The post was possibly the second most derogatory post on here ever -basically you would have to be called an abused, wifebeating, child molestor to have been called worse -

In the mod lounge I have voted to delete all posts asking for money or money transfers. Nothing good comes of them: If they are done as proposed, so what? they are supposed to be! If someone gets screwed it turns into a shitfight, no one wins.

Manguy has privately asked me for money on 2 occasions and has never insulted me when I said no, actually I didn't respond to the second request. But, I have seen him get lewd and mean when rejected by others.

Manguy should get a final warning before a permaban in my opinion. He has been a decent contributer to this forum at times. I am not saying that he doesnt deserve a permaban, just please give him one more shot. He is young and stupid and mouthy.

As far as the asking for money or money transfer thing, I think that we should allow money transfers but not asking for money. Asking for money is stupid and immature. If you cannot afford to put money on a poker site then you should not be playing.

Money transfers is a whole different story in my opinion. There are some reputable members that have need money transfers for one reason or another that were legit. Please consider letting people continue to transfer money without getting their posts deleted. I realize it can still cause problems, but the site can issue a sticky that says that they cannot be held responsible for, nor punish for money transaction problems.

I'm fine with money transfers because I've done a few, but I'm very cautious with who I deal with so I won't start a thread looking for the first answer. If I'm short of I've removed everything from a certain site and want to play a few tournaments on there in the next 12 hours or so, I'll PM or AIM the person. I've never transferred a large amount of money with anyone here, so the risk is still relatively minimal in most cases but I had a problem recently where I used bad judgement. It's clear in the rules that trading is permissable and discretion is advised. I understand Steve's point that we've had a lot of problems within the community that has stemmed from bad people and those discussions haven't popped up in a bit. The paragraph in the Rules section was a compromise that everyone agreed upon for the moment. If this comes up again, it will and I don't mind a more open discussion on the topic as Red brought up new Forums. That's why there's a Comment/Suggestions Forum.

The permban was for a pattern of activity that has already received warnings and a prior tempban. I might consider shortening the ban with an apology to the forum as a whole and a statement to accept to the terms and conditions that are very accessible and are expected to be followed by everyone.

You should receive a 3 day ban for this.

Everyone has their moments and of Manguy has contibuted at times. The fact that he's been a fairly long time poster and very young is why he's received warnings and a tempban for permban-types of actions. That post was just retarded. He said that he knew it'd be deleted for that sort of content. He singled out 2 people that he respected and you weren't one of them, KRE8R, then told everyone on the forum to basically fuck off. It's up to him to apologize and things can be done from there.

This doesnt exactly surprise me. I would just like to see him get the chance to be mature about this, and it looks like you guys are giving it to him.
