The thread in which I notified the staff that I banned him, I posted a link to this thread with the soft delete so my reason for the ban could be seen by my fellow mod and the admin. I also stated that I would've deleted this thread had the the person being attacked notbeen someone who seeks out people for handouts by abusing public profiles on the forum.
1.) I treated this like I treated the AIM convo of jamieharish's begging. It's a thread that's healthy for our community because he seeks to exploit and guilt trip "us" into giving him a handout. The OP stated the case why no one should adhere to his requests. I felt that this kind of person was seriously dangerous to people that are of a heart too kind for me to comprehend.

I fully agree. the ban was for only 30 days because it was on my personal impulse and I was awaiting rebuttal to a permaban. I've received none from the staff, there's no sign that members of this community would accept this sort of language, and thank you, gder, for being the member to speak up.
The details of what was said were removed from the public boards, but they were direct attacks on my personal ethnicity as well as ethnicities of others. I have an amazing sense of humor and love to laugh at a good joke, but I ask the community to trust Red, Steve, and I when we feel that the tone in this post was nothing short of malice.

You have a gambling problem. It's not my problem, therefore it's not my place to make efforts to help you in any way. There are people in this forum whom I value and there are those that value me. I am wherever people need me to be when I'm available to talk out whatever needs to be talked out because others have been there for me when I've needed it. (Most recently, I needed to get things off of my chest and I talked to Steve on the phone for about an hour- ridiculously early in the morning last week.)
Was my initial response in this thread personal? Yes. I have too much pride to be shit on by some suburbia kid on the internet in 1-on-1 convos. Thank you for allowing this to play out in time and not demanding instantaneous immediate response because Red, Steve, and I are three serparate men leading three separate lives in three separate areas of this hemisphere. These things will take some hours, at the least, to fully consider.
