First of all, I'm not a soccer fan, but you're right, Vense.

Second, there is no such thing as the best NFL player. There is the best defensive player the best offensive player.

Third, no offense can get passed Derrick Brooks.

Fourth, no defense can stop Michael Vick. He "yards in the air" numbers aren't great by any means, but that offensive line is almost as bad as the Bears. He's not running for strategic reasons. He's running for his dear life and it's gonna end his career early if they don't pick up a line. He wasn't picked first in that draft for his legs and his TE didn't have those numbers because Vick is fast. He sees the field better than any QB I've seen since Steve Young. His arm is a precise and deadly cannon. Imagine if he had more than a couple of seconds to throw the damn ball.

I agree, to say any player is best even seperating it on either side is hard, and im sure there are a few people ahead of him. Its a great story, but that doesnt make him a better football player.

I agree, vick is an amazing athlete, he has a cannon of an arm(he needs to work on touch passes), he needs recievers, and he has amazing awareness and can somehow see around players. Saying that no defense can stop him is a about as funny as the last quote. Even espn broadcasters and commentators know vick can be stopped. All 3 defenses left, with the Eagles being the worst of them, will contain and destroy vick.
