Default HIJACKED THREAD ALERT!!! Formerly: "Ignore this user feature"

It would be great if this feature could be added to the forum.

Interesting - I've never heard of such a feature for a forum though, as that almost defeats the purpose of one.

I suggest you simply ignore the person at hand.

On a side note, if the user starts disobeying some of our forum rules then he/she will be dealt with accordingly.

C'mon, Beav. No one listens to me as it is. This would make it way to easy.

Actually, Kid, I am on a couple forums that have this feature. Basically it just replaces that user's posts with something like "You have chosen to ignore this user", and I think they have an option to click somewhere and read it if you want too. I've never used it, but there are some folks who make sure everyone knows it when they add a user to thier ignore.

That's what I say, "Just ignore them," but I am not averse and like having an "ignore" option. Nothing wrong with options.

I know that this was a joke, but not a very smart one. Conservatives wish to conserve the open voice to disagree and express disagreement as our founding fathers did.

And I'm not a democrat or a republican. I am what the media would a "civil libertarian."

in the perfect words of Lewis Black, "whats the difference between a republican and a democrat?" "A republican sucks, a democrat blows".

another greta line from him, "the only thing worse than a republican or a democrat is when these pricks work together"

How about

"the only thing worse than a republican and a democrat are those can't decide."

I used to be a Dem, the independant, and now Republican, I am no the card carrying kind though, I still make up my own mind and disagree with the platform in a few spots.

like any person with half a brain.

I loath people like Ann Coulter, or Hannity and Colmes etc... that just pick a side of an issue because of their "political party". I watch that drivvle and you can just tell half the time they know they're full of shit but they stick with it anyway, might as well be robots.

criteria to be a political pundit,

#1 ignore all independent thoughts

#2 have your common sense glands removed

#3 this is most important!!!! Buy a nice blue suit with either a power tie or a bowtie

#4 Use the terms liberal and conservative instead of Democrat and Republican to act like it's the same thing.

#5 Use the terms "Red State/Blue State" to further oversimplfy and generalize.

#6 Assume that agreeing with a single issue associates someone with a party.

#7 Assume that anyone who is well known in Washington is far left or far right depending on their party

#8 (RE:#1 and #2) You are not allowed to have an opinion. You are only allowed to regurgitate what a politician has already said that is a part of "your party" to make to argument and regurgitate what a politician has already said that is not a part of "your party" and counter by regurgitating what a politician has already said that is a part of "your party" as the points that you are arguing.

#9 Interrupt everybody who disagrees with you and ignore what they say when you let them talk.

#10 After doing #9, continue to re-state yourself completely disregarding what your opponent has said.

#11 Act like you know everything even though following these rules contradict everything that you learned in ENG102.
