We've got chess-ies on this board? I used to do the web newsletter for the IECG five or so years ago before life just got too hectic.

Somebody shoot me a first move if you're interested in an e-mail game. Its been 4-5 years since I've opened a journal on opening theory and I'm sure my endgame prowess has suffered markedly from lack of practice, but as long as you're not world champion class I can probably provide some holiday entertainment. Or at the very least amusement (he moved there? what the @#$%!! was he smoking??).

www.chessclub.com is the biggest pay server (ICC)
www.worldchessnetwork.com is another oe.
www.freechess.org(I think that's the addie) is the first 'real' chess server called FICS

the first one is the best, WCN is alright, FICS is good for bughouse.

The 2 best interfaces are blitzen and Thief. Thief can be used for both FICS and ICC, and maybe a few others now that I think about it.

PS. {edit: Supposebly? You bastard! lol j/k. How strong I am is relative to how terrible you are :P. I have done well in the provincials here (but haven't won it, yet). Last 3 BC championships I've gotten second twice and third once. I've only played in the states once (back in June) and I only lost to 1 American
