Poker:The Real Deal
I picked this book up, and ended up taking it back.
It is very basic, and spends a lot of time on the history of poker and stories that have been told elsewhere, and told better.
The book takes Sklansky's hand chart verbatim, and reprints a lot of material from other books.
I was about 1/5 of the way through the book and they were just discussing why 72o should be folded.
I was really hoping there would be some good stories about Phil Gordon in the book, but I was begining to see that the book was not worth the money.
This would be a good book for a WPT fan, but not for a player that has read a few other books.
BTW, anyone picked Hellmuth's new book Bad Beats and Lucky Draws. I skimmed through it and it looks like there are some good stories in it.
