Dell has a really good deal, today only a their E510 system

The base system is $550 with a 19in monitor. Base processor is a 2.8 Dual Core Pentium (hmmm looks like it switched to a 3.0 HT processor now).

I upgraded to 1G of Ram, an ultrasharp 19in monitor, XP Media Center reinstallation CD, and I also upgraded the video card to a 256MB nVidia Geforce 7300LE TurboCache.

The card alone is over $150 and the upgrade is only $60.

I got the whole thing shipped and taxed for just over $800.

This deal is only good today, and there are only two more days left of deals.

They had an Intel Core Duo system for $700 yesterday - normally about $1400.

I buy computers from Dell about everyother month. That is a good buy.

No, I dont really have a problem with Dells. They just wouldnt be my first choice for a computer. But then I am a speed freak. I love to have the best of everything, and Dell offers better deals for people like my grandparents.

they are also extremely customisable

what exactly do you want that they do not offer?
