OKAY, SO I HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR OVER A YEAR NOW AND I'VE WON A TOURNAMENT AND PLACED IN A FEW.. I LOVE IT. CASH GAMES I USUALLY COME UP DOUBLE. MY ISSUE IS NOW I'M STARTING TO PLAY ON BIGGER TABLES AND I'M GETTING BULLIED BECAUSE I AM A GIRL. THEY REALLY TRY TO PUSH MY POCKETS TO THE POINT WHERE I'M BEING DOMINATED. I KNOW HOW TO DOMINATE A TABLE BUT WHEN I'VE MOVED TO THESE HIGHER TABLES IT SEEMS THE ONLY WAY TO SEE A HAND ALL THE WAY IS TO BET 3/4s TO ALL OF MY CHIPS... HELP & ADVICE.. THANKS

High C beatty I have to say firstly I have 0 experience of higher staked games but know that they are far far more aggressive and your opponent far far more adaptable. I would not assume they are more aggressive because of your gender and feel that you may unnessceraly disguise the real reason or give yourself a phsychological dilemna doing that.

I was reading a thread by Jungleman or (wookiez) aka an absolute cash table monster and he was talking about moving up and getting smashed in to start with.

He placed emphasis on skill level being totally linked to the level.

He recommended having very strong bankroll managment and being prepared to work like crazy at leak vs individual opponents.

He also talked about how adaptable you need to be and how you need to tailor your play to individual ops.

Sorry can't give you more advice as you are almost certainly a better player than I am but I feel that this general advice would be good for you and also remind you that there are good coaches etc about who will help you learn and get through this.

If you move up in stakes then you have to have the money to be able to stay in the game. It sounds to me like you don't. The very fact that you asked this question also shows me that you don't have the heart. I mean really what on earth makes you think you could turn Pro after a year and having won 1 tournament! I mean where have you been playing? With whom? What stakes? I see this all the time some player who does well in home games in their local village pub suddenly decides they are the next Amarillo Slim. Please try to get a grip on reality!
