First- I don't play for money on-line. Probably never will after seeing what has happened to me and my dad a few times. I mean, we just play for play money at Pokerstars and so have no reason to think that anyone is out to get our money. But if this situation is the norm, neither of us will play for real on-line.
When I first started playing, I noticed that sometimes when I had the best hand, I would still lose.
Just yesterday, My dad was playing and I walked into the room after the turn and the his cards were J9 and the common cards were A7QK. I said,"Hey!, Just need the 10!"
Sure enough, the river is a 10.
So he has an Ace high straight.
The money goes to another person with Q7 and the Dealer says he wins with a Q-high straight.
The dealer says my dad only has a pair of tens.
Huh?
I've noticed quite a few times that this has happened. Some times to me, sometimes in my favor.
Yesterday I had pocket Q's. The board ended up A9KA4. When the players cards were shown, some one had a K2, but I won.
They don't let you see what everyone has at the end but for a very little bit of time.
If the play money table can't be trusted..............
Has this happened to anyone else?

Wrong hands called

Do you have Hand Histories? Are you sure that the Q7 didn't have a flush? In order for him to have a Q-high straight there would need to be 8-9-J- T
If the hand is as you say, both hands were called incorrectly; as you didn't even have a pair of tens and the other player had 2 pair, Q's & 7's
Please post HH to clear up any possible confsuionsSince I gave up sex for food, I can't even get into My Own pants

No hand histories. Like I said, no big deal on internet play money game. Just see alot of bad calls. Yes I'm sure there was no flush as the commons were rainbow. You're right, there would have to be an 89JT. That's why the problem. Only ten on the board was the river, so how can my dad have TWO tens? Much less the other guy having a Q high straight?
Like I've said, the other example shows where I should have lost, not won. Not complaining, just showing what I have seen over a couple months. As far as play money goes, no reason to play if the dealer (computer program) can't tell the different hands apart. Who wants to play a good game only to lose to a program that can't see what's on the board?
If it's for real money.....uh huh, might as well burn your money.
Asked my dad about histories he said he tried once but they told him they only do real money games.

I don't think either one one you has read what I typed.
It doesn't have anything to do with hand history or real vs. play money.
The problem is the computer calling the hands wrong and awarding the pot to the wrong person.

I've played over 1,000,000 online poker hands in my online career and never once seen it award the losing hand the pot.
Post the hand history or it didn't happen. Sorry, I just think you're looking at something wrong, and if it did happen, you should be able to pull up the hand history with no problem.

As said above, money/fake money/bottle tops.. we dont care unless we see the hand history, and their is a hand history even for fake money...
