Collusion, plain and simple, If done well it can be devastating to the other players at the table. The thing is its not only done by cardrooms but by many players also. Its a big prob in sit-n-gos and cash games.

I don't think sites would collude it would be too difficult to hide remember Potripper, they do have people to create action which are there pros.

The only thing that I have seen online and this is nothing to do with the sites or the RNG is people going all in on rags with no reason to before any betting has started and getting called by a very strong hand AA KK. Obviously a hand like AA will call an all in but the thing that was strange was that the origional raiser was on a large stack 50-100bb and went all in early on in the tournament in the small blind to take big blinds 50 chips when the cards were turned over small blind had J6 suited big blind had AA. Of course some strange donk logic is more likely than collusion but this would be the easiest scam of them all simply to have numerous accounts bolstering one with chips.

There ARE regulations covering this, hence the disclaimer you see on ALL prize competitions "Employees of XYZ corp and associated organisations can not enter this competition yadda yadda". These regulations cover ANY and ALL prize money situation. Players communicating their cards IS collusion and IS illegal as ALSO covered by gaming legislation.
