Default State of the forum address

Beavis sig has got me thinking, yes I know thats probably a bad idea.

Everyone on here needs to lighten up. It seems everyone from the mods to the newest poster is concerned with every minor detail of the forum, when only 1 person should be. I am as guilty as anyone else but am not the only culprit.

Too many of us care TOO MUCH about PFO and unfortunately too many cooks spoil the soup.

2+2, one of the most firmly moderated forums lets things go. On here when anyone swears at someone or insults their ideas or mocks them they throw their hands in the air and say "why can he say that!?!?!"

On PFO you almost need to walk on eggshells when you respond to threads for fear people may take it the wrong way. This is asanine and is killing the reason many of us post here, F-U-N

We all need to realize that yelling at another poster in a debate or taking pot shots at them in threads/signatures/avatars should be taken in jest. If it is ongoing than yes it needs to be addressed, but 1 thread where you are insulted should not lead to discussions about right and wrong as well as a moderator forum full of even more bickering on what should be allowed.

We all think differently on how things should be, and that is what makes this forum great. Unfortunately we all need to realize only 1 persons way matters.

We are all guilty of greivances and almost every serious poster has had at least 1 controversy. The problem with 3,000 minds coming together is you will never get full agreement. We need to realize that with each decision, each debate, each heated yelling match part of the forum is going to be upset.

What we need to do is let it go when it is over. Even the biggest Pres. Bush supporter cannot agree with all his policies, nor can his biggest detractor disagree with everything he does. Our problem is noone on here wants to give ground.

I think everyone needs to care a little less about the forum as well as the other people on here. I know I argue and swear with the best of them but if you knew me you would know that the next day it's over. Ask Trons, or Beavis if you don't believe me. Unfortunately some people seem to grind their axe until the handle snaps and hits someone or themselves in the face.

Like I said, lets all lighten up a bit, get back to arguing poker, and lightheartedly poking fun at each other. Instead of carrying on grudges or personal opinions on an internet forum, AN INTERNET FORUM!

I couldn't disagree more with that. I agree that people do need to lighten up a bit, but I don't see how you can have a healthy forum if no one cares about each other.

There are plenty of good posters here that have not been caught up in the pandemonium.

Also, you copied my thread title. (This is meant as a joke. )

For the record, my Sig is 100% tongue in cheek.

I don't even know what it means.

Or hopefully you were talking about the warning label.

Again I didn't say EVERY I said almost.

Your response is the point of this post, everyone takes everything to heart like it is directed at them and they get defensive.

Actually, I believe you are the one getting defensive in this thread. I said I disagreed, and gave my reasons. You replied defending your statements, stating that I am wrong. Now, I don't have a problem with your defense. But, your reply in this post is contradictory to the original post.

    Ughhhhh.

I was simply clearing up your misconception of my original remarks. people can't even leave a thread like this alone from arguements.

these are the responses I mean

I couldn't disagree more with that. I agree that people do need to lighten up a bit, but I don't see how you can have a healthy forum if no one cares about each other.
you misquote me and then say I completely disagree

Steve, let's be honest here. The first sentence I quoted really makes it seem like people shouldn't care. I know that it says caring less, but that statement is pretty blatant in my opinion. Once again, I simply disagree with it.

Your second sentence doesn't mean much, but almost everyone, is very close to everyone.

This is really is not an argument, but you were defending your posts, which is your whole point of the thread, is that people should not do it. Maybe I'm just a naive little punk, but your posts don't make much sense to me. I'm done.

    You simply don't get it.

Every post on this forum now needs a proofreader, backup from other members, and a rebuttal to the original post to clear up and define the words ALMOST or LESS because others want to turn .99999_ into 1 just for an arguement. or change the meaning of Almost everyone to everyone. It's like the Bill Clinton impeachment hearings, "can you define what you mean by alone?"

Thank you AT for summing up my original post and the problems here better than I ever could.

Your reply is the one making it seem like I think noone should care about the forum and so on. If someone says almost everyone that is what it means, almost everyone.

Like I said everyone needs to care a little less about PFO and how it is run, and use it for what it is a fun place to discuss poker and other things, whether people agree with your ideas or not.
