How about introducing a minimum post count before you can create a new thread? It would stop a lot of the one post spam crap we see.

Totally Stolen Idea
A good education is expensive but ignorance costs more.

I thought about that, but it'd only mean the spammers would post more crappy spam just so they could create a thread..

Are you capable of developing your own opinion? I'm not trying to be an asshole, but all you do is side with whoever is in charge.

This is a semi-interesting idea with it's good points and bad points. What about giving a specific amount of time a new poster has to be a member (say 3 days?) before posting a new thread. This will give him/her time to search through the old posts to see if there is an answer already posted, and it would stop the hit and runs (they would have to join AND remember to come back several days later for their crap).
I believe there is more then enough material to keep a newer poker player busy for several days, however an experienced player might not like the idea and for obvious reasons (not trying to read anybodies mind here), I believe we want people of levels of experience. It was just a suggestion to compliment an idea...Trons

pp100 actually brings up a good point, the spammers would cease creating easily found spam and start inserting it into threads. That would be a whole new can of worms, RGP gets that a lot!

maybe we could IP search and hunt the next spammer down, and publically execute them. we could get it on video and post it on the front of the site so people will know what will happen...
