Two things:
First, Why cant the cursor start off in the TItle box, I always end up writing my message title in the body of the messgae, delete it, then write it up top.
Secondly, What about not allowing links to be posted for anybody with less than say, 10-20 posts? THe first post spammers do is their link post, but some of us do find the occasional real good deal and post that. Will keep the Mods from pulling their hair out trying ot delete blatant spam. Let a poster become a "respected" member before posting links. That way we know if they're legit or not.

Good ideas as usual. However, is your second point possible to do? I don't know, I'm not very good with websites.

I like it, unless we end up with jackasses posting 10 idiotic posts just to reach the link posting clearance.
I also hate the spam on party poker, but my beef is with TPTB (the powers that be) there.Last edited by Kliph; 05-04-2005 at 05:29 PM.

Don't stare at the keyboard while you type!

The second idea sounds great.“There's no sense in being precise when you don't even know what you're talking about.” - John von Neumann

I thought of an idea that is either good or sucks. Close all forums other than the Newbies forum until they have made 10 quality posts. If we see that they are spamming, they can be banned. These new users will still be able to read the other forums, they just can't post in them. Besides, many new people that will be regsitering are probably farily new to the game. They can post questions in the newbies. If you can not allow links on top of this, that would be great. But, at least this is a start.
