since its highly unlikely that the transfers forum will be removed(woot ), suggestions are welcome from people on how it could be improved. I will then take any good suggestions and claim them as my own.

But i you are a decent advdertiser surely you monitor the links.
Like if I advertise here for a rakeback site I am not going to say "wow 1 million people saw my link on PFO", I am going to say "x people visited my site from the link on PFO, of those x amount joined and they generated x amount of rake"
Someone like myself signing up at one of these sites would be great for them, a broke joker here hoping to scam a quick $10 maybe not so much.

I am considering limiting the Transfers Forum to members who have a post count of 100+. This would definitely cut down on the amount of scammers, as it requires a lot more effort to keep creating new names and populating them with 100 posts. Other ideas/suggestions would be welcome as well.

Kid that idea would make it alot better. Granted you would still have to worry about scammers however you would be able to tell if some members are just spamming to get to the 100 posts.

Yeah I mean, we have a VERY loose policy here towards spam, but we could always tighten up on that (or try to at least). That would make it even more difficult for scammers to get through. And, of course, I can always make the minimum postcount higher, like 200.
I'd like to hear more feedback from other members on my post-count prerequisite idea.

Sooted? proved post count things can be foiled but I think a lot of people would tend not to scam if there was actual effort involved.

Wouldn't making the post count 100 discourage alot of the traffic you desire?
I know if I went somewhere to get a quick trade and saw I had to make a 100 posts before I could use the facility Id just go to another site.

I obviously care about long-term integrity (laugh if you must ) of the site over traffic. Most of what you heard of me wanting traffic was made by other members, never by me.
In any case, I do not believe that traffic would diminish much by making this change. In fact, it could very well increase as a result. Members who ligitimately want to trade will be posting more, and as such are more likely to stick around since they have more time invested into the site. Also, if the Trade forum becomes safer to use, it will bring more members in.
