I just tried to convert a Stars hand. Some Observations:
-- Missing the antes. Look at the pot size on the flop. Should be $49,800.
-- Not putting in the amounts of the raises or calls.
-- Missed BrothaJ525's fold on the flop
-- Still not showing players and chipstacks
-- Didn't remove my returned flop bet from the pot after BrothaJ525 folded.
-- Said I re-raised on the flop when I only bet.
-- Added a [/color] tag to the end when it never had the beginning tag.

Success in development projects, even the small ones, requires excellent definition of the scope & requirements up front, a detailed Work Breakdown Structure and solid project management processes.

Maybe a manual I wrote... IT project management is what I do and these are principles to live by. Starting with an idea, rather that a well defined scope, is bound to end up in either failure or more trouble than a programmer needs.

If I was writing the converter, I probably would have started by supporting Poker Stars NL/PL Holdem cash games only. Once the bugs were worked out with that, then added limit cash until all the bugs were eradicated, then tourneys, etc. until all the Pokerstars holdem games were supported. Then I would have moved on to another site (FTP probably) and done the same thing there. I'd do that because once I got one working, it shouldn't be too hard to get another one working as the guts of the converter would be bug-free and all I'd really have to worry about is parsing and reading the input HH.

Are we still interested in a forum hand converter?

I actually will be linking to another website which is a new HH convertor, and is very good. They're currently working on adding PFO support to it.
