yeah! I'm glad you stuck around.

The first 100 posts are the hardest on this forum (just ask ping, I would exchange verbal arguments with him all teh time).

i will admit that the story ur referring to is news to me....it may have happened while i was on my poker vacation or i just didnt notice it.

the mods feelings being hurt story im referring to(and which i DONT wanna revive) is the same one that Gder referred to which occured about 12-18 months ago when Beavis, Marm, Rex et all left over what started out as a petty squabble between mods and spilled over into a personal issue between them all.

#1 - Most have come back in some capacity, sans Rex and Marm

#2 - The whole fiasco began way before the blowup. Some people got over it; others didn't and carried on for months ending in their leaving. What started the whole blowout was the fact that the mods gave warnings and I believe a 1 day ban, not feelings being hurt. The mods doing their job seemed to be the problem.

It seems some of you want it both ways; you want the mods to run a clean forum, but you also want to say whatever you please. I personally draw the line at personal insults as was done recently.

#3 - The forum has been much more peaceful (excluding recent events). While it was sad to see quality posters go by the board it also seems we lost the biggest rabblerousers as well: PowerfulRog and a few others.

No, there is a disagreement here. Alex feels almost anything should be let go. However, at the moment this isn't the PFO rule. If it changes to that so be it, but as of now we have guidelines to follow. So, whether you agree or disagree with the current guidelines/rules you have to live with them.

I regret I didn't catch the offending thread sooner or I would have nipped it in the bud.

That actually was what I was referring to. In all of the hub-bub, everyone ignored how what the argument about.

But I really don't know how to express how I feel about distinguishing things because I don't want to say that people are "asking for it" at times because they're not. For example, when I did blow, everyone knew when I was posting high because I'd go all over the board at the weirdest hours typing incoherently. I'm not condoning my drug use, as I've quit, but people made extreme assumptions about me that I expected and instead of taking a nap, I gave them a STFU and clarified things.

After that, gder's high posts and wota's drunk posts have set a standard that can't be touched.

yeah, I think there is a slight difference in Modding.

Alex is a bit more lenient.
Steve-O is bit more strict.
Kr8tor is Kr8tor.

Just personality, I guess. Everyone cant be exactly on same page. I mean even when there is a set of "rules" it is still interpreted differently.

Frankly the moderation is great IMO. Like I am part of other forums, and on 2+2, there are like mods asking for other mods to be fired etc.. Crazy stuff. IMO there is no serious issues, here.

Also, drunk/high/etc.. posting, is really a + for the forum IMO. As long as it is kept to a minimum. Luckly for the spell check installed, my posts are not half as bad as they were when I had like 1,000 -2,000 posts. Fire Fox 2 FTW
