Look guys,

last time I banned a long time member I did post an explanation. And I never heard the end of it. In fact it was nominated for most worthless post. So, I hope you understand me not rushing to give an explanation

OK. I have read your strategy thread which I assume is the thread that lead to all of this. If its not, well sorry, but I didnt get the opportunity to ask beavis because you banned him.

After reading that thread (and getting informed) I see nothing other than a run of the mill debate with people getting a little heated....it happens.

I do not see any rules violations which reach the level of getting someone banned.

Unless there was some private messages between you and beavis or IREXES, I see nothing in the thread to warrant a banning. I grant that IREXES said some things directed at you which were not part of the topic, but I sincerely do not believe it warrants a banning.

Steve: I have always respected your poker insights, but I have see numerous instances of you going off the deep end with these arguments and taking your powers to ban too far.

My point is this.........

If they broke a rule that is universally enforced, then ban them. But if its only because they pissed you off then you are out of line.

you should know my stance on people getting banned due to one or two conversations that we had way back in the "Buzz Lightyear - to infinity and beyond" days..........HOWEVER...........

my exact same thoughts on ur leaving and possibly not coming back apply to Rex and Beavis.......while i may not always see eye to eye with one of them and the other one is, well, english, both of them do add lots and lots of value to this forum and id hate if this resulted in either of them vacating their seats at the head of the pfo table.

in conclusion, i also agree 100% with puddles post which i see was quickly deleted(prob due to this thread but whatever)........actually only some nifty rearranging done with this post i see

The next person to object will recieve a 3 day ban. I have told you guys we will explain!!!!

It's like a sewing circle where you need the gossip immediately, just relax, everything will be taken care of.

they both recieved very short bans, so don't worry about them leaving

Irexes 1 day

Beavis 7 days

I understand that. But we are still owed an explanation in my opinion. Also you KNOW that you will never hear the end of this if you dont explain. The problem with you not wanting to explain is that it looks suspiciously like you are worried that people will not agree with the banning. I think that if this is true you should still explain. If you feel the bannings were warranted then you should stand up for that and explain it.

the only people I care about agreeing with me is the moderation team.

And hopefully the threat of a 3 day ban to the next "tell us what is happening" post will stop me from never hearing the end of it

1.) Everyone can calm down. These were temp-bans, not perm-bans.

2.) Regarding the initial thread where this started: Arguing whether a post should have been deleted or not shouldn't be done especially when it hasn't been read. 99% of what's deleted by us is never viewed before it's deleted and that 1% when 2 or 3 people view trolling or spamming, it's "Ban this guy." or "Get rid of this."

3.) There is a Moderator Forum for mods to discuss moderation. Rex had that forum to discuss moderation. Saying a mod is "shit at [being a mod]" on the public boards isn't tolerated on any forum. I've never seen anyone not receive a tempban for that anywhere. The forum's well moderated and a lot of time is spent on it. The nit-picking is insulting without including the obscenity.

4.) Starting a thread for everyone to discuss how a mod is at being a mod is insulting to me- even when it's not about me. That stuff's deleted every time on any other forum. Thse threads just aren't created here that much and when they are, it's by someone you guys don't like and you think their ban was because you didn't like them. Nuh-uh. It's usually when they respond to a warning by starting a thread about how a mod moderates the forum.

Yes. That is not only reserved for spam.

Thank you Alex. That clears a lot up. I will drop the issue...for today...
