Hi, my name is James and I am new to the forum. I live in England and work as a mail sorter at Royal Mail part time. I am also doing my A levels in the hope of going to University in September. So far my poker journey has been awful. I have often grinded my bankroll up, lost a big hand with a huge chance of winning and then lost my bankroll in a matter of hours. This would often happen from putting all my bankroll on a HU PLO table.

I have decided to go back to what I used to be good at: MTTs and STTs. I have chosen this to be from playing the STEPS tournaments on iPoker, specifically PaddyPower as the min. deposit is low. The lowest Step SNG is a $0.16 buy-in, therefore I chose to deposit $16, play 100 Step 1 tournaments (plus any extra I get a ticket for) and see where I go from there.

For those of you unaware of this 'promotion', there are 7 Steps, each one awards tickets to the next step, the same step, step below or nothing. The 7th step awards a $215 token to the sunday $200k tournament. However, all steps award money for bubble finishers and for steps 5-7, this is a good goal for people starting at step 1. When you receive a ticket to a step 3-7 tournament, this can be used for other tournaments as well.
