Most people playing poker at an online casino also love to spend hours watching poker on tv. Iif you are among these fans of poker TV there are several poker transmissions to choose from: WSOP, WPT, PPT and High Stakes are some of the events that are broadcasted on TV.
But why is poker on TV so interesting? Well, some people claim that poker on TV actually is manipulated in order to heat up the thrilling of the TV poker transmissions and through that attract more viewers to the TV shows. Thus, some people compare poker on TV to reality shows such as ”Real World” and Big Brother”. Basically, the concept of these to TV shows are quite boring: "A group of strangers, lives in a house while having their lives taped." Why would so many people find this interesting? The answer of this question may be that the producers show very little that actually concern the "real world," but instead show more of a "fantasy world" that hardly exists. The reality tv shows never shows the particpants brushing their teeth, paying their bills, or making their beds. Instead the producers take small segments of the cast members' lives and spin these to their liking, and release new episodes.
Some people claim that televised poker is like reality TV. Thus, the producers of poker shows sometimes choose not to focus on a disciplined player folding fifteen hand in a row or a good player making a solid continuation bet to take down the pot on the flop. Instead the producers rather would divert your attention to action flops, huge bluffs, and calls that can either be construed as genius or fortunate. Why? Because most people find this sort of poker more fascinating. Poker TV viewers are exactly like the viewers of reality tv shows: They don’t want to see the teeth brushing, bill paying, and bed making component part of the show – they want action!
