My main question is...even though I had a read on BB should I have called that river bet based on the 6:1 odds alone, or should I have trusted my read and folded...thereby possibly enhancing the idea I may have been on a steal.
Im folding on the river here and making it look like im on a steal, although in both ways it could work for you on future hands. If you look like your on a steal now then they will call your preflop raises more and also try to bluff you on the river more - which is good - even better when you have a hand to call them down with.

If you call then they know they can check down TPTK, against you and induce you into a call on the river - which ultimately takes your chips since well you dont have Top pair and are beaten by any ace.

There was a similar situation in a turbo where I had QQ it came xxK, 2 others in the pot I bet out 100 a small bet, they both called, turn came another blank, I bet 100 they called again, river came blank - well they were all low cards... someone bet 200 I folded and the winner showed JJ... Not that I didnt have a read on him, but I fully expected a king - its a difficult situation in a pot like this but from the preflop raise you MUST expect an ace...especially after he check calls your flop bet.

I admit he could be on a branch of whole other hands but thats the situation that arises when your fearing an overcard pair to your strong starting pair - 6 to 1 isnt bad odds to call, but im saving my chips...
