Id pay the last 5k to see a showdown, then be majorly annoyed if he has a jack or hearts...

say he has hearts. the flop pot is $6400+$5000 bet. giving pot odds of 44%. implied odds are maybe $10,000, total pot odds of 30% , but the odds to get the flush on the turn (and avoid the $8k bet) is probably just under 20%... say he makes a bad call. Then the pot is $24,400 , plus implied odds of $2500 (say theres a 50% chance the showdown comes from an all in), giving total pot odds of 30% again. The chance of a flush on the river is again about 20%, so again its a bad call.

However, JJ is quite an obvious candidate for that pre flop action... 3*BB raise then a cold call (as in, nothing that great but something pretty decent... Id say a bad call because with your bet its facing a 2 outer to improve or 2 suited overcards).

(Phil’s wife overheard this and said, “So, that’s where those went. I thought you lost them.” “Yeah,” he said. “I lost them in the garbage can.” “Those were nice sunglasses,” she said. “Yeah, so nice that they cost me a $100,000 pot.”)
