I think the hero played it fine the whole hand. He bet about 75% of the pot each street, not enough to give odds for anything, and he protected his hand against the draws. Maybe a slightly bigger PF raise, but thats debatable, and without knowing the tables tendencies, Unanswerable.

Since we can assume that "ed" is a strong player, that means we can assume That he won't call against odds to a draw. Therefore We should push for our last $5k on the river. Pot is already 30k, so Our bet is only for value. But that, of course, is assuming alot. We could use a little more info on 'ed'. If this is a cash game, I'm pretty sure that the "hero" should be keeping some good book on the entire table that could help influence our decisions.

What do I do? I check/call the river.
