Hypothetical situation...what would you do?
This was posted in an unnamed other forum...just posting here to get a consensus....
Honestly, i just want to see how many of you guys here agree with me. as far as I know, this is a completely hypothetical hand.... and you should assume that everyone involved (not counting the hero, who will be you) are somewhat strong players.
You are dealt KsKc and you are the big blind. The blinds are 100/200 and you have $20,000 in chips. Three players call the big blind and the player in late position raises it to $600. Small blind folds and you re-raise to $2,000. Everyone folds except for the player in late position who calls (let's call him Ed). The flop comes:
Kh Qh 8s
You bet $5,000 and Ed calls. The turn:
9c
You bet $8,000 and Ed calls. The River:
10h
What do you do now? Do you check or bet? Or are you like me and see flaws in "Hero's" play from the flop forward? Just wondering what you guys think of this. If you see flaws in hero's post flop play, please specify what it was, and what you would have done. Also, if you don't mind answering the question as is first, that'd be great also.
