Blinds are 300/600 you have 8500 left.

You raise to 2000 and it only leaves you 6500 and you have to take the blinds the next hand. Not a good spot.

The amount of your raise puts YOU in the spot of having to make the hard decisions. If someone calls you, the pot will bet 4900, and you will have to act first. Your stack is 6500. You don't really have many options.

My opinion with AKs is when your stack or you opponents stack is less than 20bb, you cannot make a mistake by raising too much, only too little.
