I am not saying I am correct to play this way but if my opinion is worth anything.......

I would make a minimum reraise preflop to find out where I stand. What cards do you think he is likely to make this raise with originally - could probably be AK-AJ, 88+, maybe lower requirements? I would expect him to reraise all in with Kings or Aces, possibly even Queens if he's loose.

I am then happy to fold believing I'm most likely beaten or at best facing 2 overcards. (Why risk it when I still have 2000 chips, which is above average stack left and the BB is still omnly 30?).

If he flat calls and no overcard hits I will be happy to go all in on flop. If an overcard hits probably bet out 1/2 - 2/3 pot and fold to any raise.
