Default Biggest Edge

This isn't intended as a bragging thread but a serious question and hope it is interpreted as such.

I wondered what all profitbable players feel their biggest edge is over the games they are beating. I feel the greatest improvement in my play has come mainly from reading Sklansky's books. It is mainly the ability to view every bet in relation to the pot and as a risk/reward ratio.

E.g If I am in a 2 way $40 pot on the flop and as the first to act I check, and my opponent then places a bet of $20 into the pot, I think well if I now raise the bet to $60 as long as I have some outs, my opponent only has to fold 50% of the time to make this profitable.

However I feel a lot of my opponents simply think - shit $60 is a hell of a lot, he must have a big hand and then fold. I know people can lie on a poker table but the amount of time my opponents claim to lay down hands which are miles ahead of me when I make this play is very high.

I feel this has won me so many pots, where I previously would have folded uncontested.

What do other people feel gives them their biggest edge?
