I agree with bonch...somebody with more knowledge correct me, but you don't need xBB per table, you jst need it over all. I 2-3 table with a little over 200BB...going to work my way up to 4 tables as soon as I got back to working nights (next week).
I thought the reason for the BR (as suggested) was as more a comfort level to keep you from playing scared...IE: tightening up too much. The bigger your gamble, the lower your BR can be. If you're like me, my BR is all my poker money. If I lose it, I'm done till I can find away to replace it. I play within the recommendations of people I respect to protect myself from those variences that can happen.
That being said, I look forward to moving up and increasing my skill so I'll move up a little before 300bb (in the new limit). A good example, I moved up to my current level when I was only 180BB at the new level. I also know that I have the displine to drop back down if my BR drops below 150BB at current level.
