The real deal with BR's...I don't get it?
Going on the assumption you need 300x the BB (or Big Bets in a limit game) to ensure you never go broke, for example in a 5/10 game that means having a $3k BR for EACH game. So if you multi table you should have $6k for 2 tables and so fourth? Anyhow by having such a large BR for the game are you really thinking someday (assuming your a good player) that you will lose almost your whole BR due to variance before winning it back? To me your BR is to cover "your" variance and not play with scared money, if that bothers you. If the variance is going to sink you that much into your BR someday, then you have problems. How can anyone, if this is suppose to happen, make any money playing poker? When playing 2/4 to 5/10 my $1000 whimpy BR never went below $400, and I had 4 of these BR's at 4 sites. So what is the deal with the huge BR everyone thinks you have to have or else?
