This might belong in the newbie section cuz I'm new.

Why do I have to bet aggressive? I've seen what happens to people who play that way. They do good for a little while then burn out and go belly up. I don't wanna play that way. Is there an alternate approach? All the newbie stuff I've been reading wants me to bet large amounts.
