no lol if i said that my bad...what i meant was the only hand that i can put him on that beats me is AK. But thats not what he could have had....i play sngs constantly and he could have had AT, AJ, A9 even....even a small chance at a bluff, people play loosly in the $5-$20 range. since he made such a big bet on the turn i figured that might be the case.


and the small bet on the turn is for value once again because i cant put him on anything that beats me.. the only thing i would think i could lose to here is once again AK. so its not worth it to chance it when u think that theres only one possible holding that could win.

oh and in responce to what beav said maybe in this case i was wrong but if pot odds and implied odds sometimes justify calling with a marginal hand early on in an sng why not build up the stack so u can play tight when the game is 4-5 handed and the table is filled with alot of PF all-ins when the blinds come. The majority of my wins are from me accumulating a stack of anywheres from double to triple from what i started with. It seems that when i play tight in the beginning til lets say...50/100 i dont get the hands i need and end up maybe sqeezing out a third place finish.
