500 isnt an overbet, thats only a 4bb raise, Only habitual min raisers consider this an overbet. There is a minimum threshold at each table that will cause others to fold.... for some tables its 2 bb,s for others its 6. Depends on the table.

But again, we really can't answer this unless we know more about the button. Personally, against an aggressive player who may think your stealing, I think you should think hes stealing with crap, and push.
