yeah If you don't have a historical event every 4 years there would be a problem. thats about 20 events per 80 year lifetime. thats not that many.

I mean I'm 29 and I would say the biggest events in the last 15 years or so are

9/11

2 gulf wars

bosnia war/genocide

berlin wall tumbling down

columbine

end of USSR

Red Sox winning the World Series

thats 8 things right off the top of my head, I would bet there are 2 events a year that will stick in your memory

and there are so many things that are significant to other people that we feel are insignificant that you couldn't list them all
