I have to disagree with announced tilt here. I would almost never fold AK to an all in when I'm shortstacked.

the shortstack doesn't matter here, the side pot with the other player is the meat and potatoes

You will almost never be dominated, you always have a good chance at the pot unless your opponent has AA or KK and even KK isn't horrible
