Woohoo!!

Week 9 of my poker league is history and I am now officially qualified for at least the regional tournament. There's an outside chance I can win the whole thing and skip straight to state if I win next weekend's league tournament since I"m currently setting 3rd overall.

So barring everything falling perfectly into place, I'll be in the regional tournament on May 11 playing for a top 20 percent finish so I can advance to state. And first prize gets a free entry into a $200 buy-in/$6500 guaranteed first prize tournament later this summer. Cool cool cool!

Kind of takes the pain out of getting nuked by a four-of-a-kind in today's tournament. Nothing like seeing your opponent turn over a pocket pair AND see the first two cards off the deck from the dealer match them.
