1.)In hold'em on the last card if he bets and you raise(or you just bet) he has to call or fold. If he folds he has no chance to win any money and you win the pot.
2.) In five card draw there is a bet before everyone draws. Then you all discard and recieve new cards. There is a round of betting now.
3.) In five card draw each player must call the last(and all) bets to have a chance to show-down cards for the pot.
