As I am sure many people have done, I accidentally entered a Limit MTT $30/3 that I thought was no-limit (damn your game selection screen Party)

This presented me with a problem as I have a vague understanding of the betting structure of limit, but no clue as to strategy, ettiquete, standard plays etc.

So I thought I'd at least watch the cards while I had lunch and just bet really hard each time I got a decent starting hand or even vaguely connected with a flop.

What seemed like years later the blinds reached a point where it was possible to win a decent stack of chips in a single hand and I fluked a gutshot straight to the Ace on the turn.

After my opponent stopped swearing at me. I agreed that I was clueless, but that while I could learn he would always be an arsehole.

Anyway embiggened by this success I kept betting and kept winning until eventually I busted out in 15th of 150 for $45.


In all seriousness, I apologise to those unfortunates who either had to witness or fell victim to my shocking play. It must have been like nails down a chalkboard.
